Narrative
INGHAM COUNTY, MI – Authorities responded to a two-car wreck Thursday night in northwest Lansing that left a 33-year-old woman with critical injuries.
The accident, which shut down the intersection of Oakland Avenue (State Highway 43) and Pine Street, involved a 45-year-old man who was not reported seriously hurt.
While the cause and nature of the crash remain under investigation, one of the two vehicles rolled over, and it took nearly three hours for crews to clear the scene. By 12:15 a.m. Friday, all travel lanes were reopened to the public.
Lansing Police indicated that speed and alcohol appear to have contributed to the incident, but no charges or citations have been confirmed as of this writing.
