Narrative
BERRIEN COUNTY, MI – A collision between a car and a dump truck claimed the life of a 69-year-old man Tuesday night in Niles Township, north of the Michigan-Indiana state border.
According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, the man, who was driving the car, had pulled out onto 11th Street from a driveway near Ontario Road at about 8:30 p.m. Officials said he failed to yield to an oncoming dump truck, resulting in a collision.
The driver of the car, an Indiana resident, died from his injuries at the scene.
No information about the other driver or potential other occupants has been disclosed.
